Welcome to Slow Living Success!

Welcome to Slow Living Success!

In a world that often celebrates hyper-productivity and relentless pursuit of success, I've embarked on a transformative journey towards a different way of living - one that embraces the beauty of slow, intentional living. This blog is my platform for sharing this life-altering journey with you.

From Productivity Obsession to Intentional Living

For the longest time, I was caught up in the productivity craze. I strived to be at 100% all the time, convinced that success meant constant hustle and achievement. I was constantly anxious about never having enough time and needing to do as much as I possibly could during my time on this planet. I was living life in the fast lane, trying to juggle numerous ambitions, and feeling perpetually stressed.

As I pushed myself harder and harder, I realized that I was more and more unhappy with myself and my life. I yearned for a more fulfilling existence, one where I could savor the present moment, appreciate each day, and connect with my authentic self.

This blog is the outcome of this profound shift in perspective. It's a celebration of the transition from productivity obsession to intentional living. I invite you to join me as we explore the art of slowing down, finding balance, and living with purpose.

Why Crocus & Clematis?

Crocus: The crocus flower is one of the first to bloom in the early spring, often pushing its vibrant petals through the snow. It symbolizes renewal, transformation, and the arrival of brighter days after a period of dormancy. In my journey, the crocus represents the awakening of a new way of living—a deliberate and intentional life that blossoms with purpose and fulfillment.

Clematis: Clematis, on the other hand, is known for its delicate, intricate blossoms that climb and intertwine with other plants. It signifies mental beauty, artistry, and the ability to connect with the essence of life's wonders. In "Crocus & Clematis," the clematis embodies the idea of embracing life's diversity, exploring new passions, and finding the beauty in the everyday.

Together, "Crocus & Clematis" embodies the essence of my blog—a journey of transformation, intentional living, and celebrating the diverse experiences that life offers. I invite you to join me on this path, where we'll explore the art of slowing down, finding balance, and savoring life's moments, just like the crocus and clematis flowers gracefully unfold and intertwine in the garden of life.

More About My Background

I grew up in a Chicago Suburb alongside a healthy library of books and a few well-loved cats. I went to college in Minnesota, where I changed my major five times before my parents finally convinced me to just pick something already. Despite my eclectic course choices, I managed to graduate in four years. In 2019, I began my career as a teacher, guiding a wonderful group of high school students through the challenges of a global pandemic.in 2019.

However, life has a way of evolving, and I found myself once again seeking reinvention. This led me to pursue a master's degree in library and information science. Today, I serve as a school librarian, helping young minds discover the joy of reading and learning.

My current home is in sunny Florida, where I share my life with my partner, our dog, and four cats. In my moments of leisure, I find solace in the pages of books, immerse myself in creative writing, play the cello, tend to a flourishing garden, experiment in the kitchen, savor movies, knit, explore tarot, indulge in video games, create art, and occasionally play referee as I chase after the cats.

I invite you to join me as I learn how to slow down, embrace life's diverse experiences, and savor the journey toward a more balanced and intentional way of living. I'm excited to have you join me on this path of discovery and transformation.

Together, let's celebrate the art of living intentionally, savoring life's moments, and achieving success at a pace that resonates with our true selves.
